#MillionPeopleMarch: Through the Photos

Taken August 26th, National Heroes Day, of 2013 during the Million People March at the Quirino Grandstand.

People going to Quirino Grandstand to join
#MillionPeopleMarch.

This reminds me of the final scene on the musical "Les Miserables".

Protesters fighting a little drizzle and\
voicing their rights.

People of different ages attend the rally to voice out their rights.

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle joins the protest,
gives speech and challenges the citizens:
"Patunayan nating marangal ang Pilipino."

Sign-up petition for the abolishment of PDAF.

Even romantic lovers voice "boo" on pork barrel issue.

People from different walks of life having
different ways of protesting, gathers that day
for one big reason: THE PHILIPPINES.

Folk dancing around the grandstand.

This actual scene gives me goosebumps as the crowd cries
"MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!"

I am proud to say now that I am a Filipino!

Noise barrage at noon.
Totally overwhelming experience for a first time rallyist like me.

Different banners, one mission!

I second the motion - and ASAP!

I think, our national hero would be so proud of
some four hundred thousand participants of the #MillionPeopleMarch,
plus those who said their piece and joined virtually via social media.
Stand for TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY!
Boycott APATHY!

Totally a life-changing experience, an eye-opener to the harsh realities happening around and upon us, I will never forget what I've learned in this experience, however clichéd they seem to be: BE OPEN-MINDED, BE INVOLVED, BE THE CHANGE.
